The door that both of our pets exited just minutes before remains wide open on the other side of the house (about 25 feet away). Post some shuffling back and forth, our beasts have declined the opportunity to use that same, still very much open door and have instead decided to stage a sit-in at a closed door. This, and opposable thumbs, is why we’re still on top.
